Finally got around to cleaning and inspecting the front hubs. The bearings didn't look bad and cleaned up well. However, both outer bearing races were loose in the hub. Not cool!! New hubs are not cheap. This drove me to do a little research, Loctite makes a couple products for just this scenario. Just ordered a small bottle of Loctite 680. Worth a try for $17.
Looking good. Hopefully the alignment shop has an old timer ( like me) that knows what the hell he's doing while setting your truck. Get a print out of before and after measurements. Good luckYou must be registered for see images attach
Once the hud bearing races are good to go I hope to have it back together this weekend. Already made an appointment at the alignment shop for next Friday morning.
Be sure and ask for the print out, if he is an old timer. I ALWAYS forgot to do the before printout. Then I couldn't show what i actually did, DUH!!! But than again I am old and slow(and forgetful)Looking good. Hopefully the alignment shop has an old timer ( like me) that knows what the hell he's doing while setting your truck. Get a print out of before and after measurements. Good luck
