Using the Advaced Adapter between the 4L60e and the mount in front of the NP208 will give you a very reliable VSS and allow you to keep the cable speedo out of the xfer case.
It will also allow the crossmember to be retained, as well as stay in the stock location.
I don’t know what it cost nowadays but it is a quality piece. It comes with the adapter, speed sensor, gaskets, bolts, and reluctor wheel to install on the 4L60e output shaft.
I didn’t need to make any mods what so ever. It fit perfectly.
You won’t need a tail housing on the trans. The AA bolts to the trans, NP208 and its adapter bolt right up.
Assuming the 4L60e already has the 4wd output shaft (shorter)
