It works once it’s primed

If you ever run it out of gas it won’t self prime
You have to prime it with a hand vacuum pump

At least mine was that way
Interesting, when I first started the system was bone dry and had no troubles

I am surprised that the frame mounted pump is quiet. Had a set of them when I had a Holley projection system. They were quite loud. I went with the in the tank set up mainly for the tank baffles, keeping the pump cool and noise level down.

I was surprised to but not like it matter to much the truck is pretty loud as it is, but eventually I’ll do the duel tanks with pumps in them this was a cheap get it going

It was warm enough yesterday to run the AC. It worked great.

While changing out a squeaky serpentine belt I saw a puddle of anti freeze on the floor. Found the top hose tank connection was leaking. I guess after 20 years it’s time for a new radiator.

Up and at it early this morning. Had to get a new radiator installed in the 77 in time for my son to drive it to school. His truck needed a once over before heading out on a weekend training trip.
New radiator installation went well. So far so good. BTW the radiator was from Autozone PN A161.

Wasn’t sure I liked the idea of a single row aluminum radiator with plastic tanks. It fit well and seems to be cooling fine as well.

Just made a 100 mile run at highway speeds. Still feeling a slight vibe and seeing the trans and transfer case shifters wobble between 60 and 65. I am thinking I need to start looking at running a double carden joint at the transfer case. Considering ordering a shaft from Dennie’s. No way am I going back to place that built my current drive shaft.

Today I went to cam swap my ls and nothing but bad news lol got the cam out and one lobe has bad wear and the bearing and a push rod and rocker on another cylinder looks like someone did a quick fix and reground the ball, the crazy thing is the motor doesn’t make any noise and runs great
