Ok, I’m little confused on that… you mean hubs, rotor etc changed with the d44?they are an upgrade, but if its out of a dually truck the wheel hubs need to be changed.
Ok, he does have the springs also sounds like I should get that toRemember that a GM Dana 60 only uses 3 u-bolts to hold it to the springs. The inner side by the pumpkin should have two studs or bolts.
Even the front axle is wider?duallys have a wider wheel hub making the whole axle wider, just off the top of my head I think they are 4-5 inches wider, i took a screenshot from http://www.billavista.com/tech/Articles/Dana_60_Front_Axle_Bible/index.html
to show the difference in wheel hubs from a dual rear wheel from a single rear wheel
Wow I would have never known that, interesting for sure thanksyessir, the front axle from dually is only wider with the dually style wheel hubs on it, you can put single rear wheel hubs on them and it will be the same as any single wheel squarebody.
if you look at the screen shot you can see where the wheel bolts on and notice the difference in wheel hubs
edited to include: the housing is the same from SRW to DRW it is only the wheel hubs that make the DRW front diff wider.
Bob,was there NP205's in 1989 one ton dually?
my searching so far has come up empty
