Ok so I did some looking cant find a definite answer is a D44 front sway bar the same as a D60?

The front of a one ton frame looks about the same a half ton with the sway bar mounts and all so im assuming the answer is they are the same. I know the ubolts and the spring plates are different. I think even the springs are the same in the front just different number of leafs right? ...my lmc book dont list 1 ton parts. And google didnt seem much help

And as far as a factory rear sway bar did they only come on duallys? And did they put them on 4x4s?

The 2 c30 duallys ive had had them but the k30 dually I got didnt appear to have one but the axles were gone when I bought it so hard to say.

Between 1973 and 1978 there are only 3 rear stabilizer bars, one for C2 Camper Deluxe, one for C2, C3 dual wheels Camper equipment, and and one for the rest. C2 and C3.

I was under the impression that my '79 K30 Camper Special had a rear sway bar originally. I don't remember what I read that made me think that. But if it had one, it doesn't now.

I've had 1/2T, 3/4T and 1 ton K trucks. The sway bar looks the same. I don't know if my K30 diameter is larger than the others. I've only seen rear sway bars on duallys, but both C & K series..

Ok cool thanks! Thats kind of what I figured but couldnt confirm it. I have about 8 inch of a k30 sway bar ill have to measure and see if it the same dia as my 1/2 ton one.

I know when im done I want the sway bar in front forsure since ill drive the truck on the highway. My plan is to get the ord kit for it. Hopefully it will work with crossover steering since im leaning that way also. And the rear I guess ill have to wait till I get that far to figure out if i can make it work with a lift. If I even bother with it at all

I've read typically the sway bar won't fit after crossover steering. That being said a few people posted pictures showing that they were able to. Don't know why.

Is your truck already lifted? Do you haul a slide in camper or anything? I thought for sure I'd have to have a swaybar but someone suggested I just unbolt it from the axle and swing it up out of the way (tie wrapped it up) then go for a drive. I didn't even know it was gone as far as cornering. And it rode so much nicer on bumps.

All depends on what type of springs you have, how high it is, your roads, intended use...

I’ve have a shortbed K10 lifted 4”

I’ve run with and without the front bar with super stiff generic lift springs and with Nice riding Alcan springs and can’t tell much difference
