Speaking of oil ..

This mod may be overkill ..
My thought here was to add more lubrication to the cam chain ..

A .040" hole drilled into the NPT 1/4" plugs will do the job ..

Also doing a bit of protection by installing screens on the oil return from the top end to the pan ..

what year is that oil cooler from, the gmt400 have a lot of TSBs about them and if its from the 90s i will find some of them , because the bad issues range from leaks to oil starvation to dry starts

Buddy has a 61 Bubble Top Chevy with a 348ci in it ..
He's wanting to go though it and get it back to looking like new again ...

The car has really low miles on it, everything in the motor should still be at STD ..

All the belts are on ..
Hoping they will stay on at 6 grand ??
Tracking looks great now .. Took a bit of work to make that happen ...

Also got around to fabricating a mount for the oil tube & stick ..

A little more welding and dressing in, be ready for paint ..
id also recommend a different alternator, one with a modern regulator like cs130 to cs130d and ad230 will have a soft start feature, meaning no belt loading until the engine is running
less likely to squeal or slip and also helps the engine by making it less resistance to turning over

And good belts and pulleys
The pulley will swap directly to a cs130 for example
