Motor mount questions

Hello, doing a sb to bb swap on a 78 Chevy c10 and I see that there’s 2 sets of holes that the motor mounts can mount to. Ones about an inch or so lower than the other. My question is if the lower holes are used for big blocks since they sit higher and the other is sb? Or is it the same for both? Pictures might help see what I’m talking about. Thanks for the help! Also, originally this was a I6 truck if that helps.

Big block, cant tell exactly but it appears to be the upper holes

Did you ever fix your brake problem? Set your big block in,just like the small block came out,unless you are getting big block mounts and perches. But a big block will sit in just fine mounted up just like it was a small block.

Brakes work great thanks to you. I had to re locate where the rod connected to the pedal higher up (like you suggested).

Yeah I believe the lower mounts are for the I6, IIRC the pan will hit on a V8 in the lower holes
