I'm thinking a front bar will do wonders, even if it's just a stock C10 bar. You've increased the center of gravity by a large amount and that will have a big effect on the handling with a stock or near stock spring rate.

One reason I suggested an aftermarket front bar though is because you can upgrade to end links, rather than using the stock end bushings that are always binding.
Any thickness or one you suggest? I don't know what would be considered good.... yet.
