Im looking to mount some grab handles and a fire extinguisher in my interior. Was wondering how sturdy the interior sheet metal is to mount too with just some beefy screws. Here are some pics, if anyone has mounted to interior sheet metal and knows good structural points, much appreciated

Use Nutserts rather than sheet metal screws.

Eve, if i use those, should the sheet metal be strong enough to support everything?

More than sheet screws. Tensile strength of nutserts is pretty high overall, it just takes a little patience to measure and install them properly but it is well worth it in the end.

Alright, well tomorrow im going to give it a temp install with sheet screws, just to see how I like the placement, if I get any flex il be on my way to the hardware store. I may just pick some anyways to use on other stuff

Something like this is a tool for every size but they have small installation tools that are like a couple of washers and nuts on some all thread but in my experience once you use nutserts you will find a desire to use them a lot more and justify buying the tool...

Yea lol the more I read about them the more I remember times through my build where they would've worked well, definitely my next tool

I would think about adding a support brace from the back in that location. Not mach metal in that area.
On mine it is mounted by the transfer case shifter and one in the cargo area.
