If you had a TBI engine, 4L80, wiring, driveshafts and pcm from a GMT400 would they swap into a squarebody?

Wait, 91 Burbs and Blazers got a passenger (proper) drop 241 or was that only in half tons?

Yep, the 4L80-E is what makes it the Holy Grail Burb. 91 and 3/4 ton with Auto trans was the only way to get the 4L80-E in a Burb. Previous years got the Th400 in the 3/4 tons.

You nailed it HotRodPC. And boy does the gearing in that 4L80-E make a difference turning a set of 35s with 3.73 diffs. Absolute perfection - great acceleration and shift points. I put balance beads in the wheels and the thing will drive 70-75mph without even the slightest wobble.

I believe 3/4 tons too. 1 tons got the NP205. And yes, that plan you got should work. Just use a passenger side drop NP208 or NP241 with the 32 spline output shaft. So even if you didn't find a 241 out of a 3/4 ton, you could get one from a half ton with a SM465. Same spline count in the later ones. The early SM465's were course splines, the later were 32 spline. Very doable but driveshafts from the GMT400 would be different.

Thinking bout 383 instead of the 350
Th400/208 which HRPC helped figure out an issue with
33" tempra trail cutters

For Real??? Blocks in the front??? And they're 3 inch??? Your state obviously doesn't do inspections I take it? Blocks up front are NOT legal in most states.

It's not legal in any state. The Burb I picked up in here in VA has blocks up front and they even have inspections here, but the guy got around it because of antique tags, I guess they don't need to be inspected then. Those dangerous blocks will be getting pitched when I get home.

I was thinking it was illegal everywhere or should be. I'd be getting those out of your truck too and get you some springs silverscott.

Hello all. '75 K20 I got for free from a little old man who didn't want it anymore. First thing I put on was a 6" Rough Country lift and 35's on 17" Eagles. Truck is a work in progress and sat outside most of its life so there are some rust areas but overall it runs great.

Rebuilt the front Cardan, center link/tie rod ends, wheel bearings up front, new Warn locking hubs, little engine odds and ends.... Runs great.

Ha! Yeah he was 80+ and couldn't get it to pass AZ emissions, and the mobile home park he lived in was threatening to tow it due to expired registration. Shame really, 2nd owner for over 30 years. I'm going to do the truck justice and restore it as best I can (minus the lift of course) everything will appear stock.

This is the 2nd Chevy I've ever owned next to my '14 Camaro SS in the garage. I think the truck is cool and everyone that drives by has some story relating to their life/childhood regarding old Chevy trucks.

And being an AZ truck, it bet it's a no rust truck too.
