Thats the way it should have been. That line splittin has caused the purchase of new trucks.

Yep, and it's not really an E85 or Ethanol friendly part either.

It isnt if is all you have ran in it. I remember all my Harley buddies coming to me when I was 17 to go through and re seal their carburetors when we had that big gas change back in the 90's. Go from running the real ****, to the new mix, and problems start to show themselves.

Just one thing, you are using the 88 engine along with the 88 distributor, and are you still using the 88 computer?
Is there a smog pump?

 I knew we would find one! They have been found with small leaks in them as well, that drop fuel pressure to carb levels, and cause the running problems you are having.
Go ahead and run the 88 computer, just incase there is a difference in the Ingnition modules...has to do with spark latency settings, there are 2 different modules available.
Dont throw away any spare smog stuff you may have in the pile.

I'm keeping all the smog stuff.....I still have to look at the brown trucks gas tank still and make sure I don'thave that issue with the fuel line. I was happy to see that the red truck blew the house out because I was worried something else went bad and is causing all my issies
