So here's and odd question I've got an 89 v2500 4x4 burb its stock height which is good but I'm wondering if a 2 inch lift will also increace my travel length, any thoughts or experiences on how to achieve the extra travel?
A little late- just saw your post. A 2" lift is nice as you get rid of the reverse arc front springs. If you want travel then get a good somewhat soft set of front springs. Tuff Country EZ ride comes to mind. Then either remove the front sway bar or get a disconnect for it. The stock location of the front shocks makes for a VERY short shock. You can't really get much travel out of them. I relocated the front shock mount on the frame higher up so I could get a longer shock. If I remember right my front shocks now have over 10" of travel and the rear has 12" of travel and I have a 3" lift.
