I'd really like to have this Burb for $1500. These people have been trying to sell it for months now. Started out at $2200, the dropped to $1900, now its $1500. Has a new motor in it with about 100 miles on it. But whoever built the motor didn't put the rear main seal in it right, and the rear main is trashed. That tells me whoever built the motor didn't wth they were doing, and what if it was ran low on oil in its first 100 miles? I'd rather they kept their new motor and sell me the Burb for much less.

Called this guy up. He wants $1400 for the complete Burb with brand new motor and trans. Trans has never had fluid put in it yet, motor has been started but thats it. Its a divorce deal. Guy says if he keeps motor and trans $400. I told him all I want is the frame, don't even need the rear end. He says he'll call me up when he gets is scrapped down to the bones and I can buy the rest of it incuding the frame for cost of scrap. I hope he isn't BS'n.
He also has another truck that needs a Turbo 400 built for it and says he'd trade me that 4x4Burb trans for a T400 build. Sounds like it might have a NP205 in it. It was 700r4 NP208, but says his buddy had a T350 built for it and a cast iron Tcase put in it to go muddin. I'd do that T400 build if he includes the Tcase too. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/2149082288.html

Not bad at all if its complete, run and drives well. Doesn't appear to need much at all. Probably a fair price on that one. So go get it !!!

I was watching the news about the shootings in AZ...Nice black K5 in the footage there.

Wouldn't want it to have been mine...haha...Already seen my home on national TV when Joseph Stack flew his plane in to the IRS building. I live 1/4 mile from that building.

Unless he wants a '91 S10 4x4 in trade for the K5, it's still gonna have to wait, unfortunately.

Well dammit, get out there on a street corner and shake your ass dude !!! Sing a song or something holding a coin can for donations. C'mon now. You're the outside the box thinker. Surely you can come up with some creative thinking to get the funds. You got a dog to sell or something??? :grd:

Anyone interested in opening up a Squarebody for Retro Fund at their local bank that will take donations???

No need to go that far...hahaha

Just the boobie reduction cost $18,000 or there'd be one here now. So saving again. Tax time is here and I'll get enough back to get a decent SB. :waytogo:

Of course I was j/k. I do have a couple of real cool dogs. If anyone wants one of them, they are for sale. $1000 each. Then I can go buy that Jimmy.

Trust me, I know the feeling. Fundage is not good for me either. I'd love to go buy that 3/4 ton 4x4 Burb with the new motor for $1500. Of course I'd pull the motor and go back thru it again with a new set of bearings and gaskets since it doesn't sound like whoever built it knew what they were doing. I've seen a couple K5's get away from me too. $800 and $400. Not running. One didn't have a motor or trans, one had a rod knocking. There is also a OEM looking K5 for $1500 that needs a trans rebuild. If they'd get it down to $1000, I'd consider it if it were in good shape otherwise. $1500 is to much for one that doesn't run IMO.
