No doubt. That is piss poor. I couldn't do it either. I'd end up so pissed and frustrated, I'd be throwing tools. One thing about me, I can be patient as hell, but when I am working on something, the tool had better be right where it goes when I go to get it. You guys think I am OCD about things having a home. Just misplace a tool in one of my roll a ways, and the roof comes off the house.

Sounds about right. There was a guy on another forum I used to frequent that had a Duece that he wanted to convert to 12V only, and he had a helluva time trying to find 12V blackouts, and not even sure he did. I know he ended up with some LED headlights that were bad ass. He got them off of a disabled truck that I beleive was taken out with an IED in Iraq.

I saw some in a catalog or on line that are LED, can;t remember wher the hell it was, maybe a hunting place. Ones on ebay are used and go anywhere from 20 -80 a pop. Can't you just change the bulb in it to run 12v?

I'm not real positive how that works. I'm sure if you could find the 12V bulb, then you have to change wiring around to. The 24v socket may not fit a 12V bulb.

Rust is a non-issue in this neck of the woods unless the guy lives right at the beach. I lived about a hundred yards from the sand and my '64 Elky rusted out from between the body panels even though it was well painted and waxed. The night air had salt in it which would condense on the body and run down between the sheetmetal.

I emailed this guy to see what he wants for the frame. I can transfer my Burb body to this 4x4 frame, transfer the 3/4 ton rear end from my burb, then change his 6 lugs front hubs to 8 lug and have a 3/4 ton 4x4 Burb I been wanting.
