There are a pair of C3's in the garage that belong to my mom, one's a low mileage survivor originally from Texas and the other is being turned over to me to finish it so it's just not garage art. What have you done as far as making it go faster?

What happened? somebody must of bought it and forgot where they parked it for about 20 years!:) It looks really slick. What are you replacing it with, or is just excess inventory?

My 95 SS and the very back corner of my 85 Silverado.

The exhaust system is the first power enhancement that I will be adding. I will be adding a cold air intake too. Real power will have to wait for funds for a supercharger.

The problem with modding a C5 is that they make so much power everything has to be upgraded or you just start breaking stock parts. A blower usually means a clutch upgrade, beefed transmission and diff and on and on.

Truth is I'm just looking for power more so than speed, it already goes faster than I care to drive.:)

My grandma was the original owner and I got it two years ago with 44k on it. A few weeks ago I acquired a 98 chevy ext cab. I wasn't really looking to sell the caprice but at the same time I was open to the idea if the right situation came along. I wasn't going to sell it to just anyone. I noticed foamy looked like he was looking for a B Body. One thing led to another and we came to an agreement and I get to keep it til the first part of February after my '98 is out of the body shop for minor rust repair. I know he'll take good care of her as well as make some improvements so I'm happy he's getting her. Plus she's been an extremely reliable DD for me so I know he'll get good use out of it.

Those Impala SS cars get me all fired up. My former neighbor had like 8 of them stuffed in his garage. I really want one bad.

It's a good thing birth control pills came out before those cars were built, they are just too damn sexy.

I loved them as soon as they came out. I don't drive mine much any more, although the wife does. I did happen to drive it into town on an errand today though and it brought a smile to my face again. Only thing I have done to the car was a set of custom made long tube TriY headers and smog and car delete. Still has all the rest of the original exhaust including the mufflers and resonators.
Prices have come down from years past but good ones are more and more scarce.

Some body spent some serious coin on that interior and the 6 speed conversion! I thought about the 6 speed but didn't ever have the extra money for it. Now I would love to do a 5 or 6 speed auto trans conversion with paddle shifters. That will probably never happen either. Too many toys too little money.

For the longest time it seemed like they were selling for close to what they cost when they were new. It was crazy. I know what you mean about the good ones becoming scarce, there's a lot out there that are beat and abused.

Well I did it. Buddy of mine was making some changes to his car and I was able to score some great parts.

I'm sure most of you guys know that Corvettes since 1984 have used a transverse composite leaf spring front and rear. From a ride and handling standpoint the factory Z51 springs on my car are all I could ask for. However when it comes to stance and ride height the adjust-ability the factory setup comes up short. Many guys will use the factory adjustment bolts to lower their car and it works but the travel of the suspension has been compromised and the ride quality is reduced. These Pfadt coil-overs have infinite height adjust-ability and 16 different dampening settings.

Hoping to get all this stuff installed and dialed in soon. My son just bought a new 370 Z and has been trash talking me. I'm going to suggest a little head to head comparison this summer starting with a run on the Tail of the Dragon and a few other backroads in the mountains.
