Nah, I’m good, although I could start a post about how much would my indicated fuel mileage change when I switch from 32” tires to 31” tires even though I can easily calculate that out.

Mods, please understand I am NOT complaining, just throwing out food for thought. It would actually be easy to build up 50 posts just by responding to existing posts with comments that add no real value to the conversation such as I like that or good looking burb which I may or may not be guilty of doing myself.

Yes, I understand completely. That's why I said to go ahead and post pictures of the wheels. Figured it would help get the posts up.

The whole reason the 50 post thing came along was to prevent scammers from joining and "selling" items that they had no intentions of actually sending. It happened once or twice, so in came the rule.

These days though, it's actually a different issue. Scammers join and then PM members that have listings in the wanted section. We don't know how to fix that issue though, nor do all the other forums that have the same issue recently. We don't want to take away PM privileges from new new members.

No problem, I’m patient.

Bucket, since you’re a super mod let me start a conversation about the minimum 50 posts. First, I am NOT complaining, just explaining the way I approach solving problems. I am 80 years old and have been wrenching on old cars since I was 17-18. My approach to solving problems is to research first, ask questions next, or as I respond to my wife when she asks what are you doing I say “due diligence or research”. Long before there was an internet I lived out my hot rod building dreams studying every technical article in Hot Rod Magazine, Car and Driver, and several others.

Now, l have been on other forums where I have asked a question and someone will respond “that’s been answered a hundred times, search for it, or Google it”. Thankfully I have not seen anyone respond like that on this forum.

Anyway, when I buy a “new to me project” (squarebody) the first thing I do is find the best forum I can find and start looking at past posts for any questions I have. What I find is that most of the time I not only find the answer to my question but also find answers to questions that I haven’t even thought about. After a couple of months doing my research and working on my own project I find that I need answers to questions that I can’t find or I have gained enough knowledge to actually post answers to questions others ask. While I am more than willing to share my knowledge with anyone who has questions, I rarely find the need to do so because someone has beat me to the answer. I guess this is my long winded way of saying it takes me a long time to build up to 50 posts.

Which brings me back to my original reason for starting this thread. I purchased a 1990 Suburban 4x4 with 20” wheels and tires that I think would be more appropriate on a lowered 2 wheel drive and since I have installed wheels and tires that I think are more appropriate to my vehicle, I have no need for the ones shown below.
