Well the one I have does have the hydroboost, but the way I understand it the extra line is also a return so you can just cap it off. If that is incorrect, I will need that part number!!
Yeah. The extra line looked like a return line.

The power steering pump from the LS will connect to the original square body hoses. When I installed a new hose I used the part number from the original truck.
If you have hyrdoboost on the donor it will have a return line at the top of the pump reservoir. It can be capped off. No issue.

This is what I did for my LS swap in my K5.

That's why I like this group of guy's not afraid to their knowledge, and definitely not afraid to try something new to make their squares better

Have you considered a hydro-boost swap? Improve braking with the added LS power

I have not. Right now, I just want to get the motor in and running. Today I fabbed up the accelerator pedal. I cut off the DBW pedal and drilled a hole close to the top. I cut the 87 pedal right where the shaft turns horizontal to the ground. Put that through the hole on the DBW bracket and welded it.

Couldn’t bolt the whole pedal assembly in place?

I've thought about it for my k5. Just haven't investigated everything that's needed.

A lot of work. So you just modified the donor's DBW assembly?

Yes, that's correct. I cut the donors pedal off and welded my pedal onto it. I should have took a picture of both beforehand. The donor DBW pedal comes out and curves towards the passenger side of the vehicle. When I mounted it to the firewall, the pedal was damn near hitting the transmission tunnel.

Right, I had to do the same temporarily but used bolts. The Escalade donor had the adjustable pedal.
I now have a 6.5ltr diesel pedal from a mid 90's Chevy PU. Looks just like the original and mounts the same.
Only have to swap 2 wires. You can see it in my build thread.

Ok. I'll look into that option. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe I can find one on ebay or something.
