    I am working on refurbishing my heater controls, heater box, and etc and I found a metal "box" above the heater box and mounted to the under side of the metal dash. It has an electrical plug connected. What is it? I'll take a pic if no one knows off the top of their head

    Lesson learned from the first time ever at a track.....

    There is a setting in hptuners under the "speedo" tab that lets you raise the fuel cutoff speed from 98 to 256. I kept getting fuel cutoff just after 1000 foot mark and coasting to the 1/4 mile mark. 14.6 @ 85mph lol My 1000 foot was 88 mph. Found the speed limiter after I got home.

    I put in a new diff and gears and now I have wheel hop bad. Seems too coincidental to blame it on anything else? I don't know if a loose pinion nut would cause that somehow?

    I don’t have a pic looking down but they clear the frame perfectly. There is only one “ear” on the bell housing that needs to be removed. Death wheel and 2 minutes is all you need

    Ya I bfh'd that thing for EVER. LOL. It turns out it was one of the gears that was really stuck on there. But I am REALLY LOVING the new diff and gears. So much more fun to drive. Burnouts for distance are a lot more satisfying as well!

    Retaining bolt broken and tried for a lonnnnng time to get it out. This housing was one piece. Couldn't disassemble. It was a 3.08 open diff

    Spent 4 hours getting the center pin out of my Gmail 12 bolt. Swapping in a 3.73 gear set and lsd. If you look close you can see the Carnage. Used a death wheel to cut the carrier in half and it still wouldn't come out until I cut the gears in half as well!

    FWIW I did the speed engineering long tubes for $269 and I thought it was a steal for the quality and fit. There is one “ear” on the passenger side bell housing on my 4l80e that had to be massaged with a “death wheel” but other than that they are great.

    Brand new speed hut gauges and using the above sensor so that 2 wires can go to pcm and one wire to the gauge. Gauge usually reads 158 and pcm reads 198. Any ideas?

    So when I take off straight or turning right, My gm12 bolt is a peg leg. but when iturn left I can kick the tail out nicely. I've never rebuilt a lsd but it can't be too hard. Can it? What are the pitfalls?
