Took care of another little issue today the vacuum plugs on my carburetor keep drying out and cracking so I finally got some silicone one’s supposedly rated for high temperature. Will have to wait and see if that’s true.

I used vacuum hose and ball bearings(of the appropriate size) looks less trashy, and you for sure have a good seal. Haven't had an issue since.

If they don't work,use 1 inch long pieces of vacuum hose,with 1/2 long machine screws screwed into them,some vacuum hoses are the right size you can plug the hose with a crossman BB or checkball. They will last as long as vacuum hose.
I saw an engine once with lots of golf Ts on it.
Worked good and I liked the idea too.

I may try the hose and ball bearing thing. Going to give these a shot first apparently the temperature ratings for these are written a little misleading. When they say 400 degrees they mean 400 degrees for a max of 5 minutes.

Put a new fuel pump in. Old one lasted ~15 years. Got a new one from Rock Auto for $26! AND, bought this 'wheel step' from Eastwood ON SALE! It works a lot better than the step stool I had been using. I hear Willie Nelsons' On the Road Again!

Got the rear-end tubs done... mostly. Also got the transmission Poly bushing installed. Welded up the transmission cross-member and installed.

FINALLY installed the USA1 Industries door panels that took a year and a half (and threatened legal action) to receive. Man they are nice, I will give them that. However, I discovered some black marks on the armrest pad. On closer inspection, it is paint chips with the black showing through. I have had to move these around a bunch in storage leading up to putting these on so I may be the one at fault, but I'll have to remove and repaint the arm rest when I get down to the nitty gritty things. AND I broke the mounting tabs off the two plastic chrome pull strap bolt covers when trying to install them. Maybe I need the overpriced billet ones. Now trying to decide if I shoulda bought the stainless trim that goes on the lower carpet or not.

I just had to redo the entire cooling system on my daily buick because of that crap. Probably going to flush it a couple more times still. Half the radiator was clogged with that dexcool mud looking junk. Thankfully the engine side seems to be ok an just muddy looking water flushed out of it.

Dexcool does not play well with other coolants.... It was designed to be changed every few years, and problems arise when it stays in too long or gets mixed. Stuff in my crew cab is icky looking, but until it's water pump and hose time, it doesn't leak so it's staying.
