Fresh flasher relay, and boom, return of the turn signals. It's nice to not have to take 5 million plastic covers off to access everything, just to find your problem.
Never mind, lost both fuses again. No good. Let me know if you have ideas.

Blowing fuses is indicative of a live short. Could be in one of the turn signal light bulb plugs or wire rubbed through somewhere.
That’s my thoughts

Ran outta gas due to "empty" line moving on gauge. I did the tank relocation under the bed with a 31 gallon burb tank/sender a few years ago. Probably a wiring issue as the gauge has full sweep. Both sender and tank are 87 'burb.

Anyway, I put 2 gallons in it and ran about 6 miles to work. Gas station within 3 miles from work, it took 27 gallons. At ~12 MPG with my foot, this makes it about 3 gallons short of 31 considering 1/2 gallon in ~36" of ~2" tubing to the filler.

I'll be checking the wiring for the sender/gauge. The capacity is whats bothering me.
I haven’t done a tank swap, but I’m impressed at the consistency and accuracy of all 4 tanks in both squares.
When the needle hits dead on E, or quits bouncing in the 86, there is a couple or 3 gallons left in the tank.
I’ve tested both tanks in the new to me 77 and they run about 30 miles past hitting E before they truly run empty. And at that point they take almost 20gal (22 ish in the one aftermarket saddle tank).

Thanks, I'll have a more thorough look at it after lunch. I hate dealing with electrical stuff.

Added some stickers (actually a thin aluminum plate) to the valve covers. Some days it’s nice to have the little victories when battling the oil leaks. :Big Laugh:

Painted my grill badge, added some weatherstrip on leading edge of door to reinforce door sealing. Gotta do something about the front bumper soon. Truck running perfectly and even the wife drove it the other day.
Looks good! I really need to paint my grille, someone at one point got some black overspray on it. Anyone have any recommendations? I have Argent Silver for the wheels but that would be too bright for my tastes.

Made up some hardwood side boards. Then, hmmm....fired up the cnc for an added detail.

Gave her the first bath since paint was completed (and first bath in like 20 something years). Plus I was checking for any cab water leaks before I lay down the carpet. Found a couple tiny ones inside the firewall around where some plugs that pass through. After sealing those up it's time to finish the interior. One day I need to make a build thread...

Took care of another little issue today the vacuum plugs on my carburetor keep drying out and cracking so I finally got some silicone one’s supposedly rated for high temperature. Will have to wait and see if that’s true.

If they don't work, use 1 inch long pieces of vacuum hose, with 1/2 long machine screws screwed into them, some vacuum hoses are the right size you can plug the hose with a crossman BB or checkball. They will last as long as vacuum hose.
