Replaced my ashtray assembly in the K 1500. Looks and works much better than one was in there previously that the previous owners screwed up big time. Even hooked up the fiber optic light. And have a lighter socket that works for my GPS now.

Installed the radiator, 1 new headlamp, 2 new tires on the rear, new vacuum advance on the dist, 8 new spark plugs. Taking it to get inspected tomorrow!

since i got my truck painted i stripped some old wires, mounted some new bucket seats, replaced my steering box, tryed fixing my tilt column,and am now in the process of replacing said steering column

What went wrong on the column that you couldn't fix it?

So, it didn't pass inspection. failed because of one ball joint and there's no windshield washer.

Those damn tilt columns can be a pita to tighten. I used a tool my dad made that helped. It was an Allen wrench with the torex socket welded to it. You can get to the three bolts without tearing it all the way down.

I can see the ball joint, but are you kidding? No Windshield washer, you can't pass inspection? Man if Ootah isn't a fuct up state. You can have 2 or 3 wives, but can't drive a truck that don't have a windshield washer.

Soooooooo glad Indiana don't inspect
Blocks in the front, balljoints, washer pump, burnt oil, tires getting low on tread
Half ass tail light that has a short I have yet to find...
I'd be screwed lol

Thats crazy.. I was actually thinking about getin mine working I keep running through swarms of bugs going home plastering mine windshield with crapola

Even when OK did do inspections, they just checked, lights, brake pedal height, wipers yes or no and horn yes or no. And if it was an OEM Cat vehicle, it need to VISUALLY have a cat on it, so you could hollow it out. They did away with inspections saying cars are safer now days with ABS and Brake lights that come on your dash to warn you, and a cop can write you a fix it ticket if your lights are out so they did away with it. Good for OK !!!
