TCI Lock up kit install

Hi guys if anyone is able to help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am converting my suburban from TBI to carburation and I purchased a lock up kit Summit part number TCI-376600. I'm wanting to use the vacuum switch so I don't have to mess with it ever again. It came with instructions, but for the dim witted ones like myself I don't understand them. I have a limited understandings of a transmission.

350 CID
700-R4 transmission

I did my lock-up not to long ago. It's fairly simple. The hardest part is removing the tranny pan, to re-wire the solenoid. The vacuum switch is connected to manifold vacuum only, the 4th gear pressure switch, and there's also a switch(if you choose to put one in) it works off the brake pedal, in the reverse function of your break light switch. It unlocks the converter when you hit the breaks or come to a stop. I used most of my oem stuff, but mine is an 86. Your 88 might work off the ecu, which you'll have to bypass if your going with a carb.

Thank you for responding Val. Mine did work off the ecu but due to it going over to carb it is all useless. I just don't understand how to wire up the solenoid nor do I know which one to change. I have read there are two switches that look just about the same and it's one of those. Lol.

Well I haven't installed the kit yet but I did pull the kick down cable off and fluid came out. I caught the fluid in a clean pan well there is little specks of brass in it. Some larger that are about the size of a peice of sand maybe a little larger. I'm worried that my transmission may be shot. All I can do is I guess drop the pan do the kit and Let Her Eat! The truck hasent been drove in a couple years other than moving it in the yard. But the fluid has always been full.

T.v. cable(throttle valve) cable is totally different then a kick down cable. The lil bit of fluid that came out when the engine was off and the trans pump isn't circulating fluid is fine and normal for any trans.
