I just realized I never posted an update when I changed tires and wheels last year.

So… my 43’s were getting old, a guy wanted my Welds plus a perfectly timed opportunity to buy some (used) Trailready beadlocks that I’ve always wanted equaled YARD SALE!

I got the TR’s (15’s) from Tx, had them blasted and powder coated and drove to Interco in La to buy some 40” Boggers.

Disclaimer: I don’t like black wheels but I didn’t think white or silver would look good against the polished beadlock rings so black won.

Nice, I wish I could find some good looking factory wheels and caps around here. Thanks for the pics.

The second pic is what I have now but they are not nearly in that condition.

I was just on the wheel vintiques site and they have some nice stock wheels

US wheel also has 16” OE , 17s and 20s. Although comparing, Detroit Steel Wheels was a slightly better value for 20s.
Last I checked, the 16s and 17s were still a fairly reasonable price.
It’s kind of silly how much “old steel wheels” cost for different applications.
Got $200 a couple years ago for the old original rims off my CJ5…..and they came with 4 old tires that required disposal, for free… lol

Old school polished aluminum slots. Easy to find 20 years ago but hard to find now.

16 or 16.5? I have some 16.5s, they're wide ones; at least 8", maybe 10".

And a couple other styles and colors in 16-17”.

Yeah it’s ridiculous. Well not unlike most other things with the abhorrent inflation the last 2-3 years.
When I first looked at the Detroit wheels when we got the truck in 2020, they were $100 less each than last winter when I ordered them, which i conveniently ordered right after another price hike….

Outlaw II's are the best wheel ever! Can you tell I like them? I should have used them for my K30, I just wasn't sure the 16" version would look the same as all my 16.5's did.
