Thanks man, that’s beautiful.
Is that a C20? Did you give it a 2” lift to get those tires in?
Thanks dude.

K20. Pretty much just new springs but it worked out to a 2" lift. Tires would have fit but looked a tad cramped. I like them subtley stout - not slammed or jacked to the moon.

So, what was stock size back in 84? When I was sanding down the wheels for paint, they have 16x8.5 stamped on them. I was going to switch to 16x10, but don’t know that I want to spend $1k for an inch and a half.

I wonder if the extra 1.5” would feel more stable when pulling a trailer.

Was the stamping perhaps 16x6.5? That would have been the stock size. Often with a 235/85/16 tire.

@bucket I thought about that, too. The first 6 was easy to tell, but not the second. It really looked like an 8, but you are probably right as I can’t imagine these would be the only 8.5” width wheels in the world. Lol

@bucket they are originally white, so I was thinking aftermarket, but One of the other wheels was clearer, so they are 16x6.5. Lol

Sidewall strength & height are more critical. I've had taller tires that feel like I was riding on cat sh*t when I had a load on because of sidewall flex. Physics take over if they get too tall!
