Went to the junkyard yesterday and while I struck out on what I needed, I did find a BRAND NEW Delphi 16198445 ECM in a wrecked 1989 GMC S15 2.5. Swapped that in and what a difference, throttle response is better, it doesn't die when I start it now. Highly recommended if you can find one. They had another but it was original to the truck.

So you're running it with the S15 ECM and the orignal PROM chip that was in the S15 2.5? Am I missing something here? You have some splainin' to do. Tell me something I don't know. I'm confused. :Insane:

Using the 5.7 chip. The 445 was a service upgrade for the '165 ECM, it has the same hardware but different software. If I recall correctly, there are injector driver and fuel table differences.

Are those the ones I had Old77 pick up for me in MO, and then I sold to Frank?
