Ummmm, why would he run a 12v plug off of a radio circut?????

Is that wire pluged into anything on the original plugs?
Thats a universal adaper, its the same setup in my monte and my monte has a remote antenna, so mabey that wire is power for an antenna, which in this case would not be used.

STOP!!! That orange wire you asked about.....For Pioneer radios that is for Illumination on the Pioneer radio which only matters on double din radios which yours is a single din. Keep that orange wire capped off as there's no use for it on your radio. Run the red wire to your ACC power and the yellow to your constant 12V power to keep memory.

ACC power is basically the same as when your ignition switch is flipped back one notch where you can listen to the radio but the truck isn't on. ACC stands for Accessory power. I'll have to crawl under my dash to see what color that is on our trucks. I'm sure Retro or someone like that knows that off top of their head. For your yellow wire needs to go to your constant 12V power in order to keep your memory on the radio.

So I can't just simply wire it to another wire on the harness
