I like your plan. Go with a 4" lift. With an 8" wide wheel you should be OK.

The pictures of my last truck are before and after the axle swap. With the 1/2 ton gear, it was running some old Rancho 4" springs and the rear was a 2" add-a-leaf with a 2" block (rode like crap). I swapped that out and ran Tuff Counrty EZ rides in front with the ORD parts you listed, but used a 4" block in back and never had an issue. I ran their SX8000 shocks. Both had 10" wide wheels with 33" tires and will rub if crossed up too much. My front fenders were trimmed in front and back prior to me buying my truck, but I've trimmed all the square body trucks I've lifted (5). The gears were 4.10 with a TH-350. I was spinning 2800 @65MPH. FYI, BFG 33x12.5x16.5" tires were only 32.5" tall.

Thank you for the detailed response. How does the truck ride now?

Any complaints with the SX8000 shocks?

Nice truck by the way!

I sold this truck last January, but this was the best riding lifted square body I've had. I've had 5 of them. I'm not sure if it's due to the springs or the ORD parts. I ready believe the sway bar disconnect kit has a lot to do with it. It let's the sway bar act independant of the springs because of the end links. I had nothing bad to say about the SX8000 shocks.

On my K30, I'm going with the Tuff Country springs again, but using the HD's as this truck has a 454. I will use the same ORD parts. In the rear, I'm keeping the stock leaves and running lift blocks.
