study up some more on the net my friend, all my ball joints bolt in, so why would I need a press?

besides autozone rents em every day. We got one for dad's 84.

the thing aint needed though, my old man changed many with a big hammer, that's all it takes.

Lucky duck. My top is bolted now and my bottom is pressed in my 97 K1500.

pressed in aint bad, the press works great and beating them out with a sledge works too, if not just unbolt and let somebody do it for you. Doing that requires t -bar removal and that can be a pain.

I'm gonna clean and paint everything while I'm under there.

just scored a FREE set of bfg's size 285/75-16's, supposed to be equal to 33 12.50's They measure in no air no rim at 31.5 inches tall and around 9.5-10 wide on the tread itself. They got over half tread left or right at half, enough to last me for a while, plus I'll know how close I am to running 35's.

Good deal, they're 32.83075" according to World Wide Metric and my calculator lol, practically 33" and 11.2205" wide.

Looks like they were ran over inflated with the center being thinner tread. But still a good score. I wouldn't max out the air pressure on those. I'd run them a little soft to ride on the outer portion of the tire and sue them in the rear if possible.

I cleaned them all up real good then tire blacked them.

As for them being ran over inflated, yep, middle is worn more then the outsides, gonna run em a little bit low just as you said to flatten em out, and going to carefully look over them and put the worst 2 on the back, or the ones with the most weights to balance them out. They are even labeled as to which position they were on lol.

I really wanted to run my squarebody rallys, but hey these were free, can't beat that. Now I can wait for a good deal on some really nice mud tread 35's or something in a 15 and go for it later, at least it'll look better with a 33 filling up the tire wells, I hated having this look....

NOT the wheels, the small tire and like 3 inches of room to spare.

ok this might sound kinda dumb or newb to yall but hey..

found out load range E meant 10 ply and can do 80 psi.

Not interested in 80 psi but man 10 play that's pretty good. Kind of a nice surprise IMO.

If it's radial I dont think it's actually 10-ply, just 10-ply rated. Mainly for hauling heavy loads or pulling heavy tongue-weight trailers.

ahh yep it's radial.

I would bet you're right on it, just rated for heavy stuff, still cool tho we haul some good loads every now and then.

If its an 80lb MAX PSI, I'd run it no higher than 60PSI. If you by chance do tow or carry a heavy load, take them up to 70-75, then when done, drop them back down to 60.

This is probably why the center section is worn more than the outer edges. 40 would be a good run-around pressure for every day driving. Also depends on how wide your wheels are.
