Ignition module problems

Ok do I do this with the normal plug plugged in as well? And if it fires right up what does this tell me?

Leave the module plug in. I would get a female spade connector for the positive terminal and leave the factory connector unplugged. If it fires up consistently you'll need a volt meter to check for 12v power at the factory plug.

brand new engine with my stock 100% rebuilt (by me) distributer (using master pro parts) upon start up completely failed again slowly started missing no spark no start for about the tenth time went and bought a new accel stuck it in runs starts perfect!

I'm assuming it was a MasterPro pickup coil, ICM, coil, etc.? That sounds like a recipe for failure to me. Those parts make good spares when you're in a fix, but brands like Duralast and MasterPro have bad reputations as permanent fixes for something in the ignition department. Glad you got it back up and running!
