for a tire that wide on a 8" rim it is very easy to over inflate them and then the tire just rides on the center of the tread.
You can take some chalk and draw a line across the tread and then drive straight for 50'
or so on pavement then get out and look to see how the chalk is wearing off. Then adjust the tire pressure accordingly.
The shop filled my tires to 70 psi after mounting them. It would rub off in the center and not at all at the edges. Think I'm down to 35 psi now.

Oh yeah I never fill them more than like 35 or 40 on this truck. Last I checked I was at about 30 though and now temps are dropping I wouldn't be surprised if there was only 20 or 25psi in there. They're definitely not ballooning out, if anything I'm only riding on the edges of the tread.

not sure how those donut marks got there ..foot musta slipped off the clutch ..
Hate when the foot slips off the clutch. Especially at full throttle. :happy175: Kinda how I did back in the day with the Muncie M22 4 speed. Rev it up to about 3000 rpm when the hands dropped, just side step the clutch and nail it to the floor.

Had a 56 Chevy 2dr wagon, 327 ,11 to 1, tunnel ram, 2 600 holleys, Muncie, 5.13 gears with 9.00x15 wrinkle walls at about 10-12 lbs air. Used to set it at 5,000 and sidestep it on last yellow. Then you had to catch up to everything and start grabbing gears. Good ole days!!!

Looks more like 6"~8" to me.

Measure the distance between the bottom of the frame rail and the top of the axle tube on the front, stock is +/- 8.5". (ex; measured at 14.5" ----- 14.5 - 8.5 = 6, result is 6" lift)

Loving the slots!!

Unfortunately they're 16.5s and will be going away when the BFGs wear out. You can't give then away around here, probably scrap them when aluminum price is up.
