Didn't you know you are just too slow if you can't let off the throttle faster than a u-joint can break?

Or a tran input shaft to break or ..... Must be my old age. So why does NHRA and NASCAR require driveshaft loops and bullet proof bell housing scattershields for anyway? That **** don't break.

On the other hand, brings back a ton of memories. My uncle had an identical truck up til I was 8 years old. Down to the carpeted crap in the back and even the same camper shell.

Yes but,did all of them early 454s in the pickups use a quart of oil every twoo hunnert miles ? or was there some sort of a cure for the ones that did.
I put new valve stem seals on the one I had and it did`nt help a bit.was`nt or did`nt seem out past the rings as the plugs never fouled and it never had oil spots on the tail gate.
I would just love to get me an old 454 pickup except for that one I had,My boss had one too,did the same thing.

Added an extra 0, honest mistake. Theres one at a dealer near me with 28k on it and they want 14k for it, what a joke.

I believe they were originally asking 30k for the 4-mile IROC. I could easily see myself paying 20k for that yellow '87.
