For real??? You're trying to save that??? You can't find a new or reman Master Cylinder??? If you intended on rebuilding that one, take it all apart including the pistons and seals out of it. You're rubber will be no good after this process.

No, my heart isn't set on keeping to reuse pending a find for power booster bracket. I can get the power booster kit for $165 bendix 100% new from Napa. I just need a power booster bracket for the 67-72 F100. Plus wanna rebuild it for practice too.

Nothing hard at all about rebuilding a master cylinder. The hardest part is making sure your bore is clean and free from spots that your rubber will drag on, slowly tearing away and wearing away the rubber for a short life. Do you have a brake ball hone? They are the best and what I use. It also works for most wheel cylinders too. I have rebuilt many many wheel cylinders, several master cylinders, all with great sucess. But the last time I went to buy a rebuild kit for a 1/2 ton square wheel cylinder, it was like $6 for each wheel kit, and the NEW wheel cylinder was $10 with a lifetime warranty, where the rebuild kit has ZERO warranty, guess what I did???? Yep, bought the wheel cylinders with lifetime warrnaty. It was at Auto Zone, probably made in China, but it did seem to be good quality. Keep them clean the quality of a wheel cylinder doesn't matter much. Its just a bore with rubber seals in it. I wouldn't buy AZ pad though. I have in the past but not on a vehicle I kept for any length of time.

No, But its on my list of tools is the brake cylinder hone and the 4 piece micrometer set from matco. Probably get a second one for the toolbox at home on the brake cylinder hone.

Here's what it looks like after 2.5 - 3.0 hours. The water so dirty I had to stop and dump it. Will do it again tomorrow.

huh??? What are you doing this in? You can't expect to keep the water clean. I'd have just kept it going. The junk falls away from the part. Just let it run next time. How many days you think this will take if you do it for 2.5 - 3 hours a day???

I just stopped to well it was doing also. I'm gonna restart it in the morning and let run til the evening or til i go to bed. I did this in 5 gallon bucket filled half way up with water. I wanted to stand it up so the electrode is facing inside where the blade fluid goes.

USE MOLASSES !!! i swear a 1 part molasses and 3 part water will make it look brand new. Go to your local animal feed store and you can get like a gallon for 25 bucks. And you can drain it in the backyard or sink. Its a chemical reaction and is organic. YAYA

Dont have 25 bucks to buy molasses. All my money goes towards buying tools.

It's so heavily pitted in the bottom I would junk it. If you're dedicated to it a quart of molasses is not that expensive, probably cheaper than the electricity you're going to use over the next month to do it that way.
