Oh yeah, and Popls you oughta do the same thing for a K20 of 84-87.

Oh I will in time HR, But for now I am going to build the test stand and go ahead and mount the motor and trans to it. Then I will start towards deleting all the BS wires that I dont need out of the harness, then get the fuel supply all hooked up. And also thinking about mounting a 14 bolt axle to the test frame so i can go ahead and build a makeshift dash with the cluster i am getting, then i can get all the gauges working for the vortec including the speedometer.

And yea I will have the video camera rolling on this one, I wish I would have done that with the 80E swap, but I am working on putting the tech article togather for here though.

Cool and Cool. Just be looking for your body in the meantime too. I'd hate to see you pass up or miss a good deal on a K20 just cuz you are in test mode on the Vortec combo. All you really need to find is a roller K20. To be honest, I have found all my roller chassis in the Auto Parts section of CL, not in the Cars and Trucks section.

Good Core. I usually only pay $25 for cores, but for 4L80-E, 4L60-E w removable bell housing, and 89-92 K case 4x4 700r4 cores, I'd pay $50. That's provided there are no broken case parts like broke bell housing. I sometimes pay $40 for Chevy Truck Turbo 400's too or 4x4 Turbo 350 and Turbo 400. Sometimes less than those prices if I have to go pick them up cuz of gas cost.

ide buy it for 20 bux

I would not pay $50 for this trans only since its not removable bell housing which means its a later model with improved hard parts, but the Torque Converter is included which save you a core charge, and if the flywheel is good, I'd pay up to $40 for that but would off $30 to see what he countered back with or he might just accept $30. Some people just want **** out of their away and a few bucks to boot. The solenoids themselves if working are worth $30 alone as used solenoids.
