You're likely right then. Being 4.56 w Detroit Locker, I'd have to sa its likely a CUCV rear axle. CUCV got Detroit Locker, OEM locking diffs got the junky G80 Eaton Gov-Lok.

Yeah, all the new-in-the-crate axles that have shown up recently have been CUCV axles that were purchased from a govt auction. I have heard they are usually bought for 2 or 3 hundred bucks (for a D60). Some folks have bought several and then re-sold them all. Not sure if there's any left now.

Speaking of CL Retro. Have you thought of posting you a WTB (Want to Buy) listing in your area?? Put in what your have to haves are, and what condition you are willing to have, what you preffer to have, and what you can live with or without and a range of what you're willing to spend, and I'd sandbag a little. If you're willing to go up to $1800 for example, I'd say in the price range of $1200-$1500 depending on condition.

I did....And got to look at even worse piles than the ones I saw in person!

Something will turn up. They come in spurts as you said.

I think my Blazer is pissy because it knows I'd sell it for a K5...Running like complete dog ****. Won't idle. Dies every few minutes. Came on pretty sudden like.

Yeah it does seem like things go in spirts. Hopefully soon, you'll have your choce of 3 or 4 at the same time. But the SWB are more rare, so that will hurt a little.

You need to have a little talk with that Blazer. You need to tell it, if sold you'll make sure it goes to a good home and will be well treated. But if it don't shape up, you're gonna send it to the crusher instead of find it a new home.

I thought about it...Just haven't found a good working set.

I don't worry about miles as long as it's been taken care of.

The seats still worked well in my mom's car, but the driver bolster was a little worn. I still see decent seats in the local yards, but I've never tested any.
