Went and looked at a Pontiac 400 and TH400

ended up not being a 400 and a TH350

Bought a LS1 shortblock :)

I guess the seller had no idea what he had??? How to you say you're selling a 400 motor and a TH400 and then not have either one of those??

I hate that when you spend time making arrangements to hook up with someone, drive over there etc, to find out the ******* doesn't even know what he has. But also why I ask for more pics and #'s if its a long drive. Kinda like that ass that was selling a tow dolly. After questions since he didn't have a camera, it turned out to be a damn tow bar. Sure glad I didn't drive 50+ miles each way, however far it was, I forget now.

Be like does it got wheels?

NO,

Maybe it's a rare and highly collectible no wheeled car dolly lol.

You're absolutly right, and how I figured it out, was asked the guy what condition are the fenders and if it had lights mounted on the fenders, He said, It aint got no fenders. I said oh it doesn't? How are the lights mounted? He said it don't need no fenders it aint got no wheels. So I said, Ohhhhhhhh so its a tow BAR, not a tow DOLLY. He got pissed off and yells, no man it not a tow bar its a ******* tow dolly then I started busted up laughing and he said F U Azzhole and hung up on me. I just about pissed myself I was laughing so hard, and that pissed him off. *******.

The :secret: plan is to FI it with a victor jr intake manifold using a holley or qjest as a throttle body so it looks secretive and works with the shaker

Open the hood and theres a carb sitting there
but WTF fuel rails!

So you pretty much bought a basket case short block LS1? What year WS6 is it out of??? You gonna hook up all the electronics too? Including complete ECM with programable PROM chip?

It oughta be a show stopper when you pop the hood and people see an LS1 in an older school TA. That's the kind of things I like to do. I love the element of suprise.

I think it was some sort of Olds engine with a 2brrl sitting on top

It was sitting in a 1980 regular cab long bed square body though!

Guy wanted $500 for the entire thing

Looked like someone used the truck as a dumpster though

01 or 02 ws6

LS1 pcm's don't use prom's ;)

I have EFI Live that I can use to program it with.

Been dying to build something like this so I can finally use it to its full extent
