When I got mine I didn't see any angled 2.5 inch, and the 2.5 inch has the alternator on driver's side. Not a big deal, but when I rewired the truck I routed everything to passenger side.

Now the v8 is coming out, and the 292 is going in, so rewiring/rerouting wires will be to accommodate that, and v8 will go to some other vehicle.
yep there were no angled back 45 degree 2.5" ones. from factory anyways. those 2.5"were vette and were all straight down exit.

I did it in the 80s on my C5 you have to make the 90 degree bend tight to the manifold or in my case the lower a arm would come up and hit the bend and eventually blow out the donut
was that with anugled back 45 exit or with straight down exit though??

Close enough.. not totally different.. They didn't design 2wd and 4wd manifolds now did they

but not for 2" outlet rami horns on a 73-up 2wd haha. fail again.

You are right. Due to the fact 73-87 trucks never came from the factory with rams horn manifolds, no manufacturer would ever make a kit for that specific application haha. But it doesn't take a genius to know that, does it...

If you are still wondering, I'm pretty sure my dad put ram horns on his 77 C10 when he swapped a V8 in place of the original 250 I6. I will take some pictures.

Took a couple pictures of the ram horns my dad used on his '77. The brown pickup in the center of the first picture is the pickup. The drivers side has a swept back outlet and looks like there is no issues with clearance or anything like that. I thought it was rather interesting that he had a driver's side manifold on the passenger side (you can see the alternator mount that is cast into it pointed back towards the firewall). I asked him about it and he told me he was just scrounging up parts to use when he did this swap back in the 90's and decided to use this manifold on the wrong side. He said he cut part of the mount off for clearance so it wouldn't hit the firewall. I just shook my head. Anyway, this one is a straight dump instead of swept back one. So, moral of the story is that both styles should work.

And they look way cooler than the turd-log-manifolds.
