I am using new hardware. The old stuff that came off the crossmember was nasty and missing a bunch of pieces. I got all new bolts, nuts, and washers for the crossmember. I didn't get any bolts with the transmission so I got some grade 8 bolts like Bucket said earlier and they seemed to fit.
fit isnt the issue, the original bolts were longer on the crossmember to frame, and used a spacer on top of the bottom of the frame rail (with the bolt either going up or down into it, nut on the other side) because longer bolts are able to be tighter or something. Its only on the 4 crossmember to frame ones, the rest are fine

SPacers for the bolts, @bucket can tell you about them. are you using new hardware?

The 2wd crossmembers don't use that setup. There was a couple different designs, but they all used either extra bracing to the top of the rails and/or a side that wrapped up the side of the frame rail.

So.. he should use the 4wd type setup because his crossmember lacks the extra part?

No ma'am. From what I recall seeing in the picture, his crossmember is installed correctly, along with the brace on the one side. Besides that, the 4x4 crossmembers are not positioned correctly for a 2wd trans mount.

I'll try to get some pictures rounded up so you can better see how the 2wd stuff is set up.

I took some pictures of it today so I could make sure we were thinking about the same thing. So is this what yall are kind of talking about as far as mounting positions? I put it back it the same as it came out so I didn't think anything should have been different.

update. I filled the transmission last night to come into about 2 quarts on the floor this afternoon. And it's coming from the front of the trans. Probably going to blow this thing up if one more thing goes wrong lol.

Hmm. You seem to have a leak there.

Lol, sorry I couldn't resist. That's a decent leak too. Bananas and saw dust can't even fix that.
