Alright, bought a Curt hitch #13028, supposed to fit not. Reciever ends up half way behind the license plate, alright, flip up plate holders available. Mount doesn’t fit flush with the frame. These trucks were made for 14 years? Nobody makes a bolt on receiver for a short bed Stepside, I’m confused.
did you read any of this threads replies? your questions would be answered.
Short stepsides wouldnt exactly be the first choice to haul trailers. Theres your answer. Plus they werent exactly as common as fleetsides

Thanks Aurora Girl, I’ve got a fat tire electric bike that weighs 75 pounds and I bought a cool 1Up American made bike rack with a ramp. Senior citizen. Anywho, I’ll figure it out, just have to vent once in a while.
PS I know, take off the shell haha

You must be registered for see images attach

Go to tractor supply and then have a welder in your area modify it. You may not have to looks like the attachment plates are moveable!

Just got off the phone with Curt hitches, they don’t make a hitch to fit my truck.. I’ll try a few more sources, then it’s off to the welder

Might be hard to find. Most welding shops won't touch a trailer hitch d/t liability. That's why very few if any aftermarket bumper manufacturers have receivers built in.

I hate that excuse Of "liability"either shops are lying to be lazy or they are unaware how a waiver works.

‘84 Blazer I’m hoping is the same as the C10 in the rear for a hitch. Agreed on the welding, the Blazer has a rear bumper like mine

‘84 Blazer should be the same as the C10 in the rear for a hitch, right?

Nope, the very rear of the Blazer frame turns down at an angle.

Does the Suburban frame do the same turn down as the big Blazer/Jimmy's?

I have a Suburban hitch on my ‘75/K25 and I had to use wedge shaped spacers to allow for the turn down in the Sub hitch (my long body frame is straight). It doesn’t look pretty but it’s all held on with grade 8 bolts and it is very stable.

Don‘t believe the glide out tire carrier will go back.
Looking at the conventional carrier, but for now I’m joining my wife’s AAA

Thanks everyone!
