Did you bring it to a shop to get it Rhino sprayed or did you do it yourself?

I’m having all the body/chassis stuff done at the shop, as I have no room in the garage or certain tools/skills for that work. I’m mainly planning & resourcing parts. Then, once body/panels are back on frame, I’ll have it towed back to the house and start wiring, interior, engine compartment and such.....It’s been fun.

Looking for some advice on lowering this build. Anyone have luck with the 5.5” front / 7” rear kit like this one below or similar drop? What issues will I run into? I know I have to C-Notch the rear and will lose the ride. But does the stance look good? Been looking for some pics and getting mixed feelings about going that low?

Finally getting back at this after taking the winter off. Frame is getting “framed” in the next couple of weeks. Really making a push on this through the summer. Hope everyone is doing well who is following my build.

Picked up my tires/rims this past week. After a few hiccups, finally decided to go with the following:

Hankook 295/50/15 - Rear on Nitro-15x10; 0 offset
Hankook 265/50/15 - Front on Nitro-15x8; 0 offset

Haha. Not “my” shop. It’s the shop doing my build. Going with a Deep Orange.

My shop is just a crowded 3-car garage. :). Zero room. :(

Starting to inventory the parts I’ve been buying for a couple of years as I get close to starting the frame. You kind of forget what you have when it’s been in storage :)

I went with this nice B&M GM-12 Bolt cover.

For the Suspension, I read where MaxTrac makes a nice 2-1/2” Front, 4” Rear lowering kit, so I bought this first, then decided I wanted to do the 5/7 drop, so I’ll be using everything here except for the hangers (I don’t think I use those with the rear flip kit (or at least from what I’m reading) just the shackles.

I’ve read good things about CPP (Classic Performance Parts) down in LA, so I went with their Rear Disc Brake conversion kit and their Rear Flip Kit.

Started on assembling some interior parts to prep for install. These Auto Meter Carbon Fiber Ultra Lites are very clean. Happy with how the cluster turned out. I was even able to do a little custom cutout in between the TACH & SPEEDO for the Fuel pressure gauge. Classic Dash makes a nice kit for these.
