Nice work so far. My son and I are building a '77 for him right now. Started about a month after you.

What are your plans, restoration?

Did you have to do much welding on the doors to clean up the gaps?

Couple of questions on this build. Are there value in these original Centerlines? They’re rough, but I wasn’t sure if guys still restore these?

Hi there - Good for you on the 1977. Is it a 2WD or 4WD. Reason, I ask is I also have a 1977 GMC 4WD to do next. Wayyyyy down the road. Haha.

On this 74’ stepper, I’m doing a full frame off, then going back with a few mods, nothing outrageous. 2-3 drop, mix of aftermarket and OEM and a 383/TH400.

Then my next question is, I’m installing or planned on at least, an Auto Meter 2-5/8 0-100 psi Fuel pressure gauge and I noticed they said must be mounted outside of the vehicle. Is it just a safety warning for the fumes or is it pretty important to keep them outside of the cab?

1. Can you buy an isolator kit to work with this gauge so I can mount it internally?

2. If not, where would you suggest I mount this, so the fuel pressure is visible if it has to go outside.

New at this and any knowledge help with this situation would be great.

Jason-

Autometer sales an isolator kit . that way you have no gas inside your cab.a safety issue

Yes, guys still like those, just not as many now.

I don't think it really hurts the value, but those actually aren't Centerline brand. They are American Racing, Eagle Alloy, or one of a few other brands.

Had the flooring, underside and behind dash (hidden areas) rhino lined to match the color.
