Tomorrow will be trying to get the cab harness or the rear harness removed, maybe both. Tomorrow is my last free weekend day for a month or so, so hoping to get a good chunk done

Definitely keep your turn signal and marker light sockets. Painless doesn't have those in the kit. I also reused my original headlight connector. The painless connector leaves part of the headlight terminals exposed. You will also need your entire tail light harness. Hopefully it's not hacked up too bad. Funny, your harness looks a lot like my old harness! Sad thing is I'm the one who did it. Back in my younger, dumber days when there was no internet to scold me.

I'm actually going to buy all new sockets all the way around. I'm also debating whether or not to go with LED lights all the way around as well

That's the best thing to do. Are you going to keep the cruise control?

I'm trying to install the cruise back into my truck and can't figure out where the vacuum release mounts to the brake assembly. Hoping you will have a picture of that area when you take the harness out from under the dash. Info on the 1970's cruise is hard to find

Here's a few pics, I took that area apart just now. Let me know if you want anymore

A few more pics of the rear harness. It looks like a weird tee connector for the trailer wiring. There's also that strange blue wire with orange stripe that was spliced into the driver's side twilight wiring, and then just terminated. No clue what that's about

That cruise harness looks like it's in great shape. Only see the plastic connector for the transducer is missing. You should hang on to that harness, it's probably worth some cash. That last picture helped me some, do you have any showing where that vacuum hose plugged into under the dash?

I don't... The line wasnt plugged into anything under the dash, just hanging loose. Do you need the harness?

I don't need the harness, but someone will. Also, the single button cruise turn signal is a good one to keep, if it works. I was looking for that switch last year, but ended up buying a universal switch from Classic Industries. This is the part that hose should have connected to. See anything like this mounted to the brake lever, maybe close to the brake light switch?

Looks like a barrel full of muli-colored snakes. Best of luck.

If you are installing a painless harness you should not have any problems.I did a complete install on my 1977 C20 And I can truly say wasn't bad but I recommend as they do read the instruction manual as your going thru the install take your time. At first I thought a little pricey but it was well worth it. If you have a problem refer to manual or call them they will help super people..

Thanks for the info. I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to start on the new harness but not quite. I still have the cab harness to remove.

@Juggernaut - I'll get some better pictures and maybe a video for you when I get back to work on that
