Before...
Bald AF tires that came on the wheels we wanted.
They were considered "junk" by the seller and we used them all the way up.

@Maxwellvis has verified they bark when you grab 2nd hard as well as they are super smooth at 80mph on the freeway.
you certainly got use from that one. I would have a panic attack way before getting close to that just because of gravel patches and sand and dirt and open diff and rain and lol... thats not counting the wet, or dry..grass!

Howdy everyone! Long time no see. Been very busy with work, life. Between extreme hours and buying a house, things become quite hectic and i can't work on squares as much :(

SO anyway i was able to spend some coin and recruit my brother for some Jimmy sandblasting. Had to buy a compressor and some media. Borrowed the blasting pot off a buddy. Was able to get 3/4 the way done today. Don't know what i'd do without the man the myth

Gassed her up :

Then, went to Wally World for MMO, which they had, and engine degreaser, which they did not have.

So, experimenting with Simple Green.

Heard about it, but never used it before.

Begone, old oil and grease residue!
Make room for the new.

:Big Laugh:

Not as extensive as some of you guys recently lol
Got some goodies in from ORD and some other parts. Yesterday came the zero rate blocks to help the saggy rear of the Burb, conversion lug nuts so I can finally use my center caps, new drag link, and pitman arm. Sad thing is the truck is still in the tranny shop for warranty work. Oh well at least I can cut the center caps up to make room for the locking hubs.
3" hole saw works perfect for the hub bore!

So i've finally wrapped up the new gas tank - sending unit - fuel pump on the parts Burb. Wanted to see if i could get it to run after about 15 years of sitting. Figured it's better to drive it around than push it around. Everything was going great on this dark rainy day until i realized the fuel pump wasn't working; i couldn't hear it and it wasn't sending any fuel up to the 'ol fuel-make-it-happener. Like i said, it has been sitting. Just need to check on the connections, wiring and grounds, probably something like that. Wasn't really in the mood to go crawling under that tight rusty machine today. Hopefully later this week. But i recorded the intial starts, only from pouring some fuel right down the throat to get her started.

Hey, if that's a parts truck, you wouldnt be willing to part with those headlight bezels, would you? Dont think they'll fit the your Jimmy.

Went quiet on the exhaust. The new cherry bombs were not the same brand I had on the camaro in the '90s so instead of trial and error I said screw it go silent and be done with it. I definitely need the tach hooked up.....before I went by sound. Anyone got a tach to replace my fuel gauge? Not sure if I can swap em, haven't researched it yet.

May do the camaro gauge swap if needed.

is there a relay on the firewall? That one isn't by the throttle pedal is it? Don't think its on the fuse block(not too good with "digicals")

Wow, well thanks man. That's awesome. Been looking for a set like that for a long time.

Dont worry about the springs, that was a gift, no need to pay me back.
And those bezels are worth more than a couple old springs. I can give you something for them.

These are the gauges that would be in a pickup:

This, with the fuel gauge in the tach would be from a C60 medium duty truck:

Either one could be made to work. If you use the medium duty truck combo gauge, you need to remove your original gauge resistor on the back of the fuel gauge. Then replace the one on the combo gauge with your original. The tank level float of the medium duty has a different range.
