I had to hit the brakes really hard the other day because of some jackwagon backing up on my side of the road...around a curve. When I hit the brakes the back end spun sideways. Luckily I was able to steer out of it and didn’t hit the moron. Checked the left front and found out the brake line running to the caliper was stopped up. Fixed that and replaced a blown fuse to the brake lights.

I "WAS" doing this....insulating the interior

However, this ended up stopping me. The damned drivers side seat belt felt loose to the cab, so I lifted up the original cab insulation and saw why it was loose. So I gave it a good yank and out it came...

SO instead of continuing what I wanted to do (insulate interior), now I have to fix this damned thing. Thick steel will go underneath, lighter gauge on top.

Before I do bodywork & paint in a few years, I should start looking for a nice cab for this crew.....

Got the rear axle painted and the Tuff country EZ-Ride 2” lift installed. Have to finish the a/c install, then tackling paint next! Ready to be able to drive it again!

Hopefully the mileage doubles, my 87 R10 with a 305 and 415,000 miles got 10-12 mpg when daily driven. TH400 and 3:08 gears

Haven’t completed much mechanical work lately, but that is upcoming later this year. I have stripped the interior down, fixed some corrosion issues, refurbed the door covers, sprayed Lizards Skin ceramic insulation, and had a guy reupholster the seats. Still need to redo the headliner, haven’t decided how/what yet.
