Took mine up to the school today where my wife teaches to help her out with her room. Hers may have AC but mine is prettier :)

Stopped at the store on the way and a friend of mine was there. He offered me $5k for my truck right then and there....I turned him down :33:

Really good shape too

Cut carpet around mounting hole and installed driver side one between the center console and seat.

Yeah, you’d regret selling it. Wasn’t it a relatives truck?

It belonged to my grandfather. It was given to me by my uncle a few months ago after it had sat in the bushes for 10 years. It’s a few hundred miles shy of hitting 77k...

Swapped the T-case skid plate from the Suburban carcass onto the pickup. Just in case I,... ahem,... run across?.... any rioters.

Don't mind the patina. I was going to blast it and paint it, but figured I'd save that for when we do the major reconstructive surgery.

I was thinking of this myself. Mine uses a second cross member (redundant) do you think it would fit around my NP205 and SM465. it comes off a NP203 and TH350

Also, what is your bracket from the t case for?

Not sure. My truck has the "W" crossmember. I don't know what your configuration looks like.

The bracket is a brace rod that bolts to one of the upper bolts on the bell housing. There are also two rods that go from the torque converter cover to brackets on the motor mounts. Probably because most of my drivetrain is aluminum, whereas yours is iron, so it may not need the extra support.

Oh.

You could put the same plate as mine on your '80 except somebody put your crossmember in backwards. The holes are on the wrong side.

The '80 has an '85-'86 crossmember along with an np208. All '80 trucks had an np205 originally.
Wait.

Thats a NP208?

Also, is the cross member a good or a bad thing?

Also, slow down youre blowing my mind. This may explain a few things.

I need to sit down

The bolt holes for the skid plate.

If you want to bolt the skid plate on the driver's side it will be fine. Except the transfer case hangs down on the passenger side.
