Have you pulled the chrome cover off to see if you can tighten the nut on the swing arm? Maybe it's loosening up. IIRC, there is a spring that applies tension. Maybe some different springs from another mirror would fix it, or put some locktight on the threads and tighten the nut a couple turns to stiffen your spring tension.

well i went over to the boneyard and found some cool stuff. well cool to me anyway. i picked up 2 better condition clearance lights, a chrome trim side marker (mine was missing the trim), a latch for my slider, and a OE tape deck. i hope the deck works, but if not i always have my SONY. now i have 3 working clearance light, out of 5.

I put intake gaskets on mine yesterday, cleaned up the sweet GM aluminum intake, fixed the horn (maybe), it has corrosion problems. Also put a single din stereo in it, with a Small box behind the seat. I think this is the first time the truck has ever had real music, it had an AM radio and a dash speaker when I got it last year. Still needs an overflow tank, I think its cracked. My fender leaks coolant (weird)

Haven't done much to the suburban lately, most of my free times been spent on the 48 project. I did work on it a little yesterday, finally got the inside all cleaned up, fixed the CD player and added 2 10 inch pioneers in the back to replace the blown factory ones.. Surprisingly the front ones still sound pretty good..

Got a 5' firestik II and wrapped it with an rgb led strip. Guesstimated wrong with the length of the strip. Need to order some more up, seal it with clear heat shrink, and make up a mount.

At the moment, I've got myself 3/4's of a 5' light saber.
