Every square that will have parts from the Burb will be grateful. Sacrifice one for the benefit of many others. Kinda reminds me of the cadaver graft I had done for my busted ACL several years ago. Someone sadly died, but several others were able to benefit from the organs.

Very True. Kinda why I like to spread parts out on these unfortunate situations when they have to be crushed. They live in others all around the US. :waytogo: Just sucks knowing it's a 98% rust free body. I know somewhere there is someone with a rusty Burb body on a 4x4 chassis that could put this one to good use if they wanted to take the time for a frame off restoration. Had this one been a 4x4, I'd have gone another way. Even at 2wd, I was looking forward to driving this one in hopes of some better mpg with being a half ton, 2wd and TBI. But then agian, the money saved in fuel would have been eaten up anyway in an extra insurance premium every month being I really don't drive my vehicles that much.

Yeah I'm sad about the burb but if it has to happen I'm glad that the parts will at least be getting put to good use :waytogo:

Per my mechanics instruction I will be doing a seafoam treatment

The website says once of seafoam per gallon. I have a 40 gallon tank
Should I really run 40oz???
Or run 16 on a half tank???

What issues are you experiencing to require seafoam?

A bit of a rough idle....
The truck sat for 10yrs prior to me owning
He suggested a seafoam treatment to help clean out deposits from sitting so long.
I was also going to add some to the oil before changing it in 300miles

I think I'd go with about a 1/2 tank and 20oz and call it good. By the time you run 15 gallons or so, then you'll start filling back up and diluting it. I usually just used about half of a can with 10-15 gallons or so.

Question:
I run the fuel damn near empty (2-4gal) in the truck
I bought three cans of seafoam
Should I dump( 2.5 cans)and fill the tank... The remaining 8oz in the oil???

That sure seems like a lot. Doubt it will hurt but it seems to me SF directions on the can say 1/3 can treats 12-15 gallons or so. I'd do what the can says to do. However, I normally do 1/2 can in the crankcase about 500 miles before an oil change, the other 1/2 of can in the fuel tank with about 15 gallons and it seems to work and do it's job just fine,
