A friend is looking for a vehicle after his truck (a 2017 Silverado)got totaled by hail. Sunday he showed up with a 2017 ford explorer full blown cop car. Lights, antennas, cages full blown cop car. He say what do you think? Good shape. 62000 miles. A few weird codes. On the way back to dealership it blew up right in front of 3 used car salesman. Oil running onto their shoes. Kevin said, No thanks. And left.
A good day!
Next, I started to help look and found a number of trucks to go see. One owner called back and made an appointment. We went to look at a 94 K1500 GMC, Mostly loaded. Everything worked, 92000 miles. Straight, no bondo, no rust. Drove really nice. It was the owners dead aunts, she dies about a year ago at 97 and gave him the truck. I found evidence of mice, but no big damage. Owner wanted 8K. Kevin negotiated it down to 6K as the A/C was not working, and bought it.. Thats a good deal HUH?
Yup. gmt400.com
And good riddance to the PO Po exploder.

Just a little more info on that OBS, the center caps for those wheels are the same as the Escalade 7 spoke saw blades use on the NBS ones. Only difference is the Chevy and GMC ones are smooth brushed finish and the Cadillac ones have the crest emblem embossed in them.
I was looking for a set of those NBS 7 spokes to put on my old truck, but I think I'll go with my vintage Grand Wagoneer turbine spokers.

Started cleaning out the axles. Found one quite pitted. At the seal surface.
Seems I am going to have to call on @AyWoSch Motors to see if he has an axle shaft too...

See it you can get a speedy sleeve. I got mine at Napa. @Turbo4whl told me about them. He probably tell you more about them, and might be able to get a part number.

Southern Virginia, in the Great Dismal Swamp. There’s actually a colony of alligators. Crazy, so far north. What’s next? Parakeets established in New Jersey. Oh wait, that is actually a thing.
We have a flock of wild parakeets here too. The story goes, a lady had a lot of birds on her property in cages, a massive wind storm hit and two pairs of parakeets got free. This happened in the 70s, and now you see these birds all over town in the fruit and nut trees. They roost in a set of palm trees at a specific intersection in town.

This is them in the pecan tree next door last October, there are 8 of them in this photo...

Haha normally I would but I just found out last night that my grandpa is in the hospital so being around for him and family is the priority right now. Plus Jesse's crew leaves for Road America tomorrow through next Monday anyway so I can't get it any sooner than next week

Hello DD. I hope all is well.

This photo reminded me of Where's Waldo pictures....

We also have a huge flock of wild parrots that some guy let out years ago. They fly all the valley of El Paso.

I think they fit several different years. I had the metal two hump one on the 82 and put a Plastic black rectangle one on with no issues.
