As stupid as it may sound, I think c20s are often marginally cheaper than C10s, because people associate the C10 with being a better platform to modify.
This is ironic, since the C20 has beefier drive train components that actually fare much better in performance applications. The C20 is also only available as a long wheel base during the square years. This doesn't bother me, but evidently, it bothers a lot of people.
The C10 name is also very romanticized and nostalgic. The C20 name is associated with rough riding and simplistic company trucks, even though high trim C20s do in fact exist.
