I've got a blue 85 dually just like yours, 113,000, blue interior. I like that red on yours.
Thanks. I've not been a fan of red, till I saw this after market dash cap, door panels, with the bullet inserts. All of which didn't go through a qa test before leaving factory though. It's rattle and noisy. Among the issues I will address. Never liked looks over quality.

I paid 1500 for this 74. 454, 4 spd c20. Needs quite a bit of work but it does run and drive. I’ve intended it to be a long term project

I just bought another rusty hag. Title & papers say 1975. Paid $1K for this rust-free jewel as I was charged nothing extra for all of it!

Just paid $250 for this 1981 K20 roller and a huge pile of parts that was in it, and a SM465/np205 combo, and a crane.

Cabs relatively solid, just really dirt dirty. Trucks been gutted pretty well. Be a good candidate for a body swap, or just a parts truck. Its pretty rough though.
I just wanted the parts in it, but the guy said i had to take the whole thing.

Its an old engine hoist top, thats been modified, but its beefy.
Has a 2500lbs electric winch on it too.
Im gonna redo it, and put on my tug for picking up engines and such.

Now, that's what I'm talking about!

How many times have you been somewhere and needed a little help with gravity trying to load something? That makes my noggin start twirling about with ideas for the back of the c20. I like the idea of "help".

Oh yeah. Im tired of busting my hump trying to load something.

So i don't know if you saw it, but i bought a 1981 C30 airport tug a while back. 1 ton dually.... with a 38inch bed, lmao.
Well my buddy has a 10foot flatbed off a similar model squarebody 1 ton dually, but the whole middle of the bed is rotted out. So im going to cut off the front rack part, and cut out the rear taillight/bumper section and leave only 38in of good bed and weld them back together so i have a super short flatbed on my tug.
That Crane is going on the Back corner of the bed, so i can reach around and pick up engines and transmissions and axles, whatever heavy crap i want and just swing it into the bed.
I think i might make a alternate location in the middle of the bed too, so i can potentially pick up the front end of a car, or lift a cab up straight without it tweaking the truck too bad.
Also might make a ginpole for that truck, bot sure yet.

Hate when those hoods buckle like that! I've seen them do that at the Barrett Jackson auctions. That would really piss me off on a totally restored one.

I could buy trucks like mine for $1,000, all day long, back in the good old days.

A year and a half ago in So. Cal., 15K got me a 1970 GMC C2500 project truck, with another 15K fed into her since then :manos:
