Does anyone know what crossmember, type/shape, to use on a k20 with an nv4500/np205 setup?

Any of the '85 and up crossmembers. That would be the W or S type.

Should be either of these. The W one is pretty hard to find since it was only used either 85 and 86 or maybe 84-86. The other type is better IMO anyway. Had a wider footprint for stability and is a couple inches more shallow so you're not as likely to snag it on something and bend it up. I've seen as may bent up W members as I have non screwed up members. Never seen the other type damaged.

By dropdown, what do you mean sir??? Maybe suggest a post # that it's pictured in and which pic from the top it is. Like for example Post #33 Pic #2 from the top.

I was talking about the second picture in post #21. I actually found one locally for about $60. I've already installed it on my blazer now i just need to put the transfer case in and measure for a driveshaft.

There's s few different lengths of strut rods, depending on trans/t-case combos.

This one seems to be used for everything pre '85. The NP203 skid plate employed two of these crossmembers, with the second one just supporting the end of the skid plate and not the trans. The K30 version of this crossmember was a little more flat to accommodate the taller frame rails.
my k3500 th400/205 only has a 2.5" rise
